It’s August, People!

In the world of agencies, there are two primary “biz dev seasons” - Jan-Mar, when brands realize that Q4 wasn’t great, next year budgets need to be assigned and they need a change…

The other season is RIGHT NOW. From early-mid August through Halloween has always been the hot time (in my agencies anyway) to build new revenue.

So, if you aren’t creating content that builds your presence and authority, aren’t warming up the old cold email machines, hitting your agency referral partners and asking your existing clients for referrals, then what the actual heck are you doing?

Listen, the Olympics are over, you aren’t going to score a cheap last minute share in the Hamptons, and as of last week, the Canada geese were starting to make a beeline south… All of that plus the great browning-ing (you know, when your lawn gets all crunchy and the saddest trees start to curl their leaves at the edges), it’s time. Summer is still here, but fall is waiting impatiently in the green room. Do not wait to get moving…
