All You Have To Do Is Grab Their Attention
Gary Vee has another book out, Day Trading The Attention Economy. In typical Gary Vee fashion, he absolutely nails the trend - he calls it the Ticktokification of Everything. It’s true. So much advertising and content is driven by short informational videos. But his real focus is on leveraging that attention in the highest value/lowest cost channels. In other words, where can you get the biggest bang for the buck.
For agency owners & marketing consultants, that high value/low cost channel is content. This means content on your site, content on social, content on podcasts, content from events and repurposing across multiple channels to insure that you are visible to your audience. Of course, that is easy for ol’ Gary with his full time videographer and team of editors.
But you can do it as well. With tools like Descript (a great audio/video editor), Opus (an AI powered social clip maker), ChatGPT (AI daddy), Canva (amazing & inexpensive design tool), and a good social scheduler (I use AgoraPulse because they gave it to me for free…) you can Gary Vee it up yourself and get your content and message available on all of those high value/low cost channels.
Tim Keen, one of the admins of the group, is a rockstar at capturing attention - his Modern Agency Sales Mastery program, where he spills all the secrets, is KILLER.
Resources
Breaking News: New resource just dropped - agency finance & profitability guru (and Agency Inner Circle admin) Marcel Petitpas has launched the Parakeeto Foundations course which is a TOTALLY FABULOUS course that will make your agency P&L VERY happy.
Not Breaking News, But A Request: I want to put together a really solid report about agency lead generation. Could you fill out the Agency Lead Generation Survey? Much gratitude.

Ashish Rawat had some questions about landing clients at an early stage (and he did a great thing and jumped into the #partnership channel if anyone is interested in working with a guy who is hustling & hungry.)

Need some early stage help?
News & Notes
Roku - everybody’s least favorite streaming service is pushing HARD into ads. Maybe it is a way to leverage all of that YouTube ad content your clients have hanging around. I can only hope that it is better than the SMB Ad Network being pushed by Intuit. (Bookkeeping & taxes suck enough…now they wanna show me ads? Ugh…)
Reddit is on a Roll: First they go public. Then they get all cozy with OpenAI, and now they are offering $200-$500 ad credits to new advertisers. And since Elon basically killed Xshitter, Reddit could be a great way to test some offers at low cost before you go big.
The Drum is a terrific ad and agency focused online rag that highlights ads of the week. Worth a looksee.
