Just earlier today, I was chatting with a guy that does cold calling (NOT MY JAM - I HATE IT). He is a couple of decades younger than I and I was able to regale him with stories of sending cold email in the olden days. It was harder to find email addresses way back when, but open rates were splendiferous, reply rate were excellent and it was not all that hard to turn cold email into $150-$200K a year in new business for a solo consultant. All you had to do was send MORE.

Today, more is bad, less is better and focus is the new scale. So buckle up kiddos.

It’s a mood killer. A vibe crusher. A creativity vacuum.

But you know what sucks worse?

Sitting around waiting for referrals that may or may not come.
